EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS There shall be four (4) elected Executive Members and they shall be elected by the Group members for an indefinite period for a specific role as described in Section 2 below.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS WITH PERMANENT ROLES The Executive Committee Members of the Group with specific roles shall be Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. A fourth member shall be the chairperson of one of the Standing Committees.
VACANCIES An Executive Committee Member who resigns from Executive Committee Member post shall be replaced through a voting process in line with Article X SECTION 1 above.
VOTING All Regular Members may exercise the right of voting. Voting will be by ballot and/or electronically.
PROXIES Proxies assigned in writing may be used to allow members who cannot be present to express their concurrence with issues coming before the Executive Committee at either regular or special meetings. An Executive Committee Member may submit his/her vote in writing (pro or con) in advance to the Secretary who will count his/her vote when the issue(s) is (are) called for vote.
POWERS In addition to such powers as are specially conferred upon it by the Constitution, the Executive Committee shall be responsible for directing the Group’s affairs and may make such rules and procedures as it deems advisable, not inconsistent with the Constitution. A record of its proceedings will be kept by the Secretary. This record shall be open to review by any regular member upon reasonable notice.
MEETINGS The Executive Committee shall determine the frequency of their meetings depending on any special matter that needs to be discussed. Any chairperson of a Standing Committee may request a meeting with the Executive Committee via the chairperson of SARIG. The Executive Committee may invite all or some of the Standing Committee chairpersons to attend the Executive Committee meeting.
